Some months back I requested an Invite and as always I get one for the beta stage. Sadly though the google service is not available in India like the Google Wi-Fi, Google TV (coming soon) & so on….but Google Voice arrived to India at the earliest than their previous service. I just played around a little and it was not at all difficult as I was a frequent user of Skype a similar well established VoIP service.

For every new user Google gives you $0.10 free for making your first call. I called to my personal mobile to test it, the caller ring (via PC) started ringing before it actually reached my mobile, there was a 10 second delay. So dont think that the person you are calling is lazy to pick the call . One more info is that the VoIP connects to the caller from a random US number something starts with 001 (ISD code from US).

Google One Number:

Google Voice also gives a free international numbers called Google One Number like the Skype Online Number which costs around 16-18$/month. But the Google One Process cannot be complete as “International numbers are not supported as forwarding phones.” for time being.
